Nigella Lawson is to appear on the cover of the April edition of Vogue virtually makeup free.
The popular TV chef will appear on the front of the British edition wearing a dab of blusher, a coat of mascara on her lashes - and a "little retouching" from the airbrush, magazine insiders have confessed, according to the Daily Mail.
It added that the insiders were keen to stress that "Miss Lawson received a little retouching as we do with all cover images. Oddly given that she is a woman in her fifties, less than some people decades younger."
Last year the 52-year-old was never far from the headlines after her then husband multi-millionaire Charles Saatchi was pictured clutching her throat in a London restaurant, which led to the dissolution of their marriage.
Later in the year she was forced to admit in court to using cocaine and cannabis during a trial involving two of her personal assistants, sisters Elisabetta and Francesca Grillo.
