Nicole and Paris make up over dinner

Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton were best friends when they began starring in The Simple Life.

Could it be true? Former best friends and Simple Life co-stars Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are rumoured to have reunited after paparazzi snapped the pair dining together in Los Angeles.

Photographed outside West Hollywood eatery Dan Tana's Restaurant, the girls were seen chatting happily on Sunday evening.

The celebrity socialites fell out in April last year, when Hilton issued a media statement reading: "It's no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. I will not go into the details of what happened. All I will say is that Nicole knows what she did, and that's all I am ever going to say about it."

Though neither party has publicly commented on the cause of their feud, insiders have long speculated it came about after Richie screened Hilton's notorious sex tape at a party she hosted.

However, they seem to have put all that behind them with the pair agreeing to film a fifth series of the reality hit The Simple Life.

The 25-year-old friends will take on the roles of camp cousellors at an American summer camp in the new series, which is scheduled to start filming next month.
