"Hey! Give that back!" Smithy yelled.
"Don't shout at Rosie," said Leroy angrily. "You'll scare her." He ran after Rosie, but by the time he got the ball back, it was nearly the end of break.
"That was handball," said Smithy.
"It's a penalty!"
That's Smithy for you. He's brilliant at football, but sometimes he's a real pain. He aimed his shot for the corner of the goal, but I saved it, no trouble. I was so mad at Smithy that I whacked the ball down the pitch as hard as I could.
That's when I saw Mrs Bird. What was she doing there? She didn't see the ball flying towards her until it was too late. It hit her right between the eyes.
