By PAUL MAY
You'd think a man would like football, wouldn't you? Not Mr Muggs. I heard him telling Mrs Kingsley that we were an unruly mob, and there were easier ways of earning a living. I thought that was very rude of him. Mrs MacKay used to tell us that we were full of natural bounce and enthusiasm.
And then there was Mrs Bird. Mrs Bird looked OK, but you just can't tell, can you?
It happened at play-time, on a Friday morning. I was in goal. Smithy was streaking down the wing and I was hopping up and down, getting ready to make a brilliant save. Then Leroy's little sister, Rosie, ran in front of Smithy and grabbed the ball. She's always doing that. It drives us crazy.
