Once again, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen play themselves: 17-year-old twins who, as has been written, "are not actresses and not movie stars. What they are is a brand."
Once again, the story is mind-numbingly obvious: Mary-Kate as Roxy, the naughty girl who bunks off school to follow her dream of a punk rock career; Ashley as Jane, the goody two-shoes who will win a scholarship to Oxford if she wins a college speech contest. Wacky things will happen during the course of a day in Manhattan and, in the end, the twins will be required to impersonate one another and adopt the "opposite" personality. Puh-lease ...
Once again, as we've noted with movies oriented to younger females, the DVD offers few extras — a making-of, two alternate endings, blooper reel and behind-the-scenes slide show.
