NBA star Scottie Pippen sues girl, 5, for damages to Florida mansion

NBA great Scottie Pippen is reportedly suing a five-year-old girl for vandalising his $US10 million Florida mansion by scribbling on the walls with markers and crayons.

Pippen, 53, added the girl's name to a lawsuit he filed against her parents, Lindsay Glazer and Jacob Wolloshin, who he is asking for damages in excess of $US100,000 ($A144,000).

The Chicago Tribune reports that he claims the girl's "vandalising ways show (that) Glazer and Woloshin failed as parents."

He says the couple allowed pets to urinate inside, damaged furnishings, stole utensils and missed utility and rent payments.

The family rented Pippen's home between October 2017 and May 2018 after their home was damaged by Hurricane Irma.

They agreed to pay $US30,000 ($A43,000) a month for the luxury pad, which boasts six bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a private dock.

Glazer, who is a stand-up comedian, slammed Pippen in a string of stinging tweets.

"Quite frankly, I'm surprised they ever thought @ScottiePippen lived anywhere, besides Michael Jordan's shadow," she wrote. "All jokes aside, who would have ever thought that @DennisRodman would be strengthening relations with North Korea, and Scottie 'no tippin' Pippen would be the crazy one suing little girls?"

Glazer's Instagram account shows her daughter scribbling on a car in January 2018, however there is no photographic evidence of the girl drawing on Pippen's walls.

Pippen is best known for playing for the Chicago Bulls from 1987 until 1998.

Pippen, who is in the midst of a divorce from his wife Larsa, has an estimated net worth upwards of $US50 million ($A72 million).
