Review: Peter Eley
He may have quit but Michael Jordan is still the man when it comes to basketball.
He features large in EA's latest NBA game, which slam dunks its rivals for sheer quality.
Essentially the same as NBA Live 99, the game is hard to fault and can be played as an out-and-out sports game or as an in-depth NBA franchise simulation, with points cap, draft picks, rosters and so on.
NBA Live 2000 is packed with options, including one which lets you morph a scan of your face, or anyone else's, on to players.
Imagine a two-metre-plus Jenny Shipley on offence for the Bulls - on second thoughts, better not. Seriously though, you can have a lot of fun with this option (try creating a whole team of your family or friends).
Hardcore basketball buffs will be delighted with the All-Star mode, which lets you play against the best players from the past 50 years.
And there's a street game option where you have to take on Jordan one-to-one on an outdoor court.
Required: Pentium 166, 32MB Ram, 4MB graphics card. A Pentium II with an 8MB card is recommended.
