Twenty viewers complained after Sir Elton John said "wanker" live on UK TV.
The veteran star was appearing on Channel Four's The New Paul O'Grady Show to celebrate the first anniversary of the Billy Elliot musical, for which he wrote the music.
But when one of the musical's young stars asked about his unusual middle name John said it was Hercules, and his real name of Reginald Kenneth Dwight had made him sound like a "banker ... or a wanker, one of the two".
Naughty old Elton
