Natalie Portman has turned to Cate Blanchett for a little parenting advice after failing to find a balance between motherhood and her career.
The 34-year-old actress admits she has struggled to find the time to be a good mum to four-year-old son Aleph, and work on new film projects like Planetarium and Jane Got a Gun, so she asked celebrity friends for help and advice.
"Very early on, I asked her (Blanchett) about being a parent," she tells Harper's Bazaar magazine.
"I said, 'How do you do it? You're a mom. You're the best at what you do'. She said, 'You just do. Stressing about it doesn't help'."
And she has discovered that parenting problems she faces as a working mum is shared by so many of her peers - male and female.
