Naomi Campbell says her bond with Kate Moss stems back to 1992, when she kidnapped Moss on a trip to Dublin.
Campbell, the 43-year-old British supermodel, was one of the most in demand catwalk figures in the late 1980s and 1990s, and along with Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Kate Moss, she was part of an elite group of models known as the Big Six in the fashion industry.
The model still considers these women members of her family.
"Of course. Kate is like my sister," Campbell told Interview magazine.
"No matter how old she is - she's going to be 40 next year - I look at her as my little sister. I was first introduced to Kate by a make-up artist who was on tour with Madonna called Sharon Gault. This was 1992. I was introduced to Kate and Mario Sorrenti at the same time. Then I met Kate again in Madrid. I kidnapped her and that was it. I kidnapped her, stopped in Paris to pick up Christy, and we all flew to Dublin together."
