Model Naomi Campbell was left stranded in her underwear moments before she was due at a charity ball in Cannes.

After arguing with Danish designer Jurgen, the British model was forced to borrow a dress for the Nelson Mandela charity ball.

It's believed that a $13,000 dress that was too large for the 34-year-old model caused the argument with the designer. Her entire 20-dress wardrobe disappeared from the yacht she was staying on during the Cannes International Film Festival.

"They argued, he ran off," The Sun newspaper reported a friend saying. "She was marooned in her undies."

Campbell arrived three hours later to the Mandela charity event visibly upset.
