Before a first date, it's common to find yourself stressing over the finer details of your appearance.
One Twitter user has shared that he thinks it truly is important to sweat the small stuff and has advised men that judging a woman by one key indicator will reveal if she's worth pursuing.
According to The Sun, the Californian man made a dating guide for men to figure out the nature of potential partners, based purely on the state of the woman's fingernails.
Known on social media as, Rocky, he shared his guide on Twitter last month: "Tired of chasing the wrong girl? Just found out your girl is psycho? Want to know the signs before making that investment? My book 'Nails At First Sight' will help you."
He shared a preview of his work of art, which he invested "countless hours of research" into, to assist his "bros" in figuring out who they should spend time and energy on when looking to date a new woman.
He also recommends avoiding females with yellow nails. Yellow is categorised as a "danger colour" as far as Rocky is concerned: "If she has the courage to get yellow nails, she has the courage to chop off your balls."
Yet there's more to be determined from nails than colour. Apparently the shape says a lot about a woman too.
He thinks those with square and rounded nails can be given the all clear. But pointed nails are a no-go. As far as he's concerned, they are "meant to hurt you" and are a blatant sign the woman is a "heartbreaker".
He goes on to claim females with regular-sized fake nails are partial to a Pumpkin Spiced Latte.
On the other hand, women with medium-length fake nails enjoy "vacations with old men".
More dramatically, he suggests if a woman has extra long nails, she's probably got an ex-boyfriend in prison and is a "twerk master".
The video of Rocky flicking through his guide has amassed 94,000 retweets and over 254,000 likes.
And women have responded by sharing photos of their nails on social media, in reference to Rocky's advice.
