Friday night drinks? Meet me:
Depends on what part of the country I'm in. Good Guinness is always a key issue.
Where I'll be wearing my new:
Trainers. It's always good to have a fresh pair on standby, even better to premiere a new style first.
And this weekend I'm planning on:
Performing on Friday as part of Urban Classicism, with the show Verse, and off to watch Busta Rhymes on Saturday.
If I was at home I would be:
Relaxing and catching up with people, going to the movies, or a good jam.
But first I'll need to refuel at my favourite cafe:
There are a couple of good places near my house in Finsbury Park, London. I also like Galangal Thai in Camden, London - great fish. Saturday evening.
If my dreams came true there would be a gig by:
James Brown is on my list, but dreamtime would be Mary J. Blige.
But if there's nothing else doing I'll probably just:
Stay home, cook, and chill with my peeps.
On my stereo/headphones is:
Alice Coltrane. Hip-hop-wise, Method Man was the last CD I bought.
The books I can't put down are:
Peter Brook, the theatre director, is someone I'm reading about. Can't Stop Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation, by Jeff Chang, is a great read.
The TV show I take the phone off the hook for:
The Sopranos, NYPD Blue, and hip-hop dance DVDs are a weakness as I'm a collector.
The movie I've been dying to see:
I have been getting into Korean films of late.
A non-cooking Monday night means takeaways from:
Any good Jamaican takeaway, rice peas and jerk chicken, fried fish, curry goat and ackee.
Or a splash-out Wednesday night restaurant would be:
The Ivy, London - if I could get in.
