Just a few weeks after CoverGirl announced its first male spokesmodel, the beauty brand has named Muslim beauty blogger Nura Afia as one of its ambassadors.
The 23-year-old YouTube star has made history by becoming the first Muslim woman to wear her hijab in a mainstream cosmetics campaign.
Nura, who is an ambassador for CoverGirl's So Lashy! BlastPro Mascara, joins Katy Perry, Sofia Vergara, Amy Pham, sister singing duo Chloe and Halle, and male make-up artist James Charles in a new ad for the brand.
In the image that was shared on CoverGirl's Instagram page earlier this week, each member of the diverse group is wearing shirts celebrating the new #LashEquality campaign.
