A clever mother has gone viral with an easy hack that can save lives if you ever find yourself in an accident with your children.

If (*knock on wood*) you are in an accident and are too injured to help your child in the car seat, this idea can make all the difference.

Alexis Copas took to social media to urge fellow parents to write emergency contacts, medication and any other useful information and tape that note to the child's car seat.

In case of an accident when the parent cannot speak, for example, this information will be crucial to emergency personnel helping your child.

Copas said on Twitter she saw the advice on Facebook and thought she should share.

Her tweet had more than 9000 likes and generated a lot of online discussion with hundreds of parents thanking her for the advice.

"I'm going to do this, thank you for sharing," a Twitter user replied.

"Good idea," someone else said. "Don't forget any drug or latex allergies. I'm pretty sure that can help too," they added.
