"I can't understand why the love of my life and the most caring and gentle soul that I've known, could be taken away from Mars, our family and myself so young," the shattered father said.
"I'm so absolutely broken. Ash takes a giant piece of me with her that can never be replaced."

He asked everyone to hold their loved ones tight "and tell them you love them".
Mr Holstein said his wife had been really sick over the past three weeks and on the weekend she had deteriorated "very rapidly".
She was readmitted to hospital on Saturday night where she had fought a "very difficult battle".
"Unfortunately she lost the fight and passed away," Mr Holstein said in a separate Facebook post.
"Ashlee is the love of my life, best friend and wonderful mother to our perfect son Mars.
"Her infectious personality and ridiculous laugh drew everyone in. Ashlee is loved and has left her impression on the heart of everyone she knew and will be dearly missed by all."
A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the father and his little boy to ease the stress and pressure on every day life. So far 117 people have donated more than $7,435.
"We love you Ashlee, you lit up every room you walked into, your laugh was infectious and we'll never forget what an amazing person you were, we'll miss you, now and always," fundraiser organiser and friend Courtney Lee wrote on the page.
A Townsville Mums Facebook group also posted a call out for donations of hot meals and supplies for Mr Holstein and Mars, while others have flooded the shattered husband's Facebook page with messages of support.
"I'm so sorry for your loss, Adam. You can see by all these beautiful messages that such a beautiful person touched so many people's hearts and will never be forgotten," one friend posted.
