TV3's Saturday night loudmouth Bernie Mac is pro ball-player Stan Ross, who hangs up his cleats on the day he gets his 3000th hit and entry to the Hall of Fame.

Nine years later three hits are ruled out and the 47-year-old has to make a comeback to reclaim his place in sports history.

The man can be funny, but not with this material. DVD features are ho-hum.
