KEY POINTS:
We at Viva are a pushover for an occasion of any sort. Mother's Day is one such celebration - especially as I'm hoping to be a recipient of the largesse doled out by my family.
So this Sunday I'm not getting out of bed until my kids - and their father - have made Amanda Laird's chocolate cake. It looks so good I'll happily have it for breakfast.
Once I've made myself sick on cake I imagine I'll step into a lovely little piece of knitwear - not unlike that on this week's Viva cover - and waft around the house for the rest of the day.
Or maybe not.
The reality is, the kids will wake me before 6am demanding breakfast. I'll put my unflattering, but warm, dressing gown on and then change into some dirty old jeans in time to make lunch. Oh well. Next year, cake please.
