KEY POINTS:
Babies arriving next year have a good chance of being named Jack or Lily whichever side of the Tasman they are born, a shopping survey reveals.
The November survey, by maternity clothing company EGG, drew more than 500 responses in New Zealand and 300 in Australia.
EGG co-owner Charlotte Devereux said she conducted the survey to find naming trends.
She found a move toward traditional names was still evident.
Jack and Lily topped both lists, but names such as William and Olivia were also popular.
