Last week we brought you a few highlights from TVNZ's line-up for next year. This week, here's some highlights from Prime:
Ricky Gervais (The Office) plays a sarcastic, low-paid actor on Extras, which guest-stars Kate Winslet, Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Stiller.
Jeremy Clarkson meets fast people on Speed, Kim Cattrall gives us nookie tips on Sexual Intelligence, Dawn French plays a kooky post office owner on Wild West and the presenters on Mythbusters explode pigs' stomachs, escape from Alcatraz and dress up a snowman. ("Will a clothed snowman melt slower than a naked one?").
If you're not a big fan of TV2's Lost, check out the factual Life On Earth (Wednesdays, 8.30pm), the epic doco Planet Earth, the history of black American pop music in Soul Deep (featuring Ray Charles, Motown, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child and Outkast), the BBC dramatised doco Egypt, the David Attenborough series Life in the Undergrowth and The Truth About Killer Dinosaurs.
Prime will also have new series of Las Vegas, Huff, The L Word (let's hope they give it a better timeslot than TVNZ did) and Stargate Atlantis.
Local drama Interrogation won't be back but we can expect new series of Top Gear, Shameless, Doctor Who (with new doctor David Tennant) Deadwood, Out of the Question and Monster Garage.
