Paul Weller says he would consider re-forming The Jam only if he and his children were "destitute and starving in the gutter".
The "modfather", who is set to receive a special lifetime achievement honour at the Brit Awards next month, described the idea of bands re-forming as "sad".
Asked about the possibility of re-forming, the singer said: "Let me just nip that in the bud right now. That will never, ever happen."
