One of Andy Warhol's silver wigs sold for US$10,800 ($17,700) and the personal address book of Marilyn Monroe fetched US$31,200 at an auction of entertainment memorabilia in New York.
The Christie's sale also featured jewellery and watches from the estate of screen legend Clark Gable, including a gold bracelet from Carole Lombard - inscribed "I love you, CL" - that went for US$7800.
The most expensive lot, going for US$66,000, was a black cocktail dress Monroe wore while acting opposite Gable in 1961's The Misfits.
