This week, tensions rise between Ingrid and Brenda.

BIRD FLU: BEYOND THE HYPE
Kerre Woodham tackles a subject that seems to make people groan, which is possibly the sound we'll be making if we're not ready should a pandemic hit New Zealand. Woodham asks ordinary Kiwis what they would do if bird flu strikes and discusses practical strategies to help to keep us safe.

When her patient is a Catholic mother of seven, Addison gets in trouble for her actions on learning the patient's husband won't use contraceptives. Derek treats a divorce attorney who asks if Derek is in need of her services, and Izzie and George overhear part of the conversation.

Kevin Spacey plays Prot, a patient in a mental hospital who reckons he is from a distant planet called K-PAX. His psychiatrist, played by Jeff Bridges, tries to help him, but begins to realise that Prot's well-intentioned philosophies and general demeanour are having a positive effect on the hospital's other patients. Spacey pulls off a good performance without turning the film to cheese. Starman meets Awakenings. (2001)
