Two years on and the 33-year-old Instagram star is experiencing the same thing all over again, after the announcement that she is expecting her second child. But this time she has little patience for the haters.
Stage is now six months' pregnant and recently posted a picture of her baby "bump". But all most people can see is her well-defined abs.
Comments on the Instagram post ranged from "what bump" and "I am so confused as to how this is possible" to the more brutal "six months pregnant? You are lying."
Clearly fed up with the comments, Stage posted another picture of herself on the beach in a white bikini at six months' pregnant, writing, "I'm at a place in my life where happiness, peace and joy are my priority. Especially being #6monthspregnant, there's no room for any negativity so please take it elsewhere.
"Baby #2 is healthy and measuring just fine. I would think that after having James, who was born almost 9 lbs [4kg] and healthy, people would be more understanding during this pregnancy and keep their ignorant comments to themselves. We are all different that's what makes us special and unique!"
Unfortunately for Stage, it's unlikely the comments will stop after the baby is born.
She posted this picture of herself just four days after her 3.82kg son was born, which unleashed a whole new slew of "you're not normal" comments.
At the time of James' birth, Stage told news.com.au that she had stayed in shape throughout her pregnancy by doing "light prenatal training" and pilates, mainly working out her arms and legs.
"Can't really do abs these days," she joked.
She also reiterated that despite people saying that she was too thin during her pregnancy, she was happy and healthy.
"These days it's seems like everyone has something to say, especially on social media. Most are very positive and I try to ignore any negative comments. My doctor says the baby is healthy and that's all that matters to us."
