Dame Helen Mirren denies her portrayal of the Queen in a film is a "cheap shot".
The Queen, directed by Stephen Frears, explores royal reaction to Princess Diana's death.
Mirren said that in the scene where she is told of the fatal crash she is roused by a chambermaid when "I'm in curlers, with a hot-water bottle ... Details of the Queen's private life are exposed, but the film is not cheap."
