Film buffs eager to get a glimpse of Narnia will get their wish this weekend when the theatrical trailer of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe debuts worldwide.
The first moving images of Andrew Adamson's adventure epic will reach more than 200 million viewers in 32 countries at the same time, a highly orchestrated promotion or "roadblock" that is being touted as the biggest of its kind. The trailer has been dubbed in 11 languages and will simulcast on popular programmes in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
In New Zealand, viewers can see the trailer for the first time on TV3 News at 6pm tonight.
The Disney/Walden Media film adaptation of the famous children's series, The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis, has a budget of more than $150 million and is New Zealand director Adamson's first live-action feature.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe opens in December.
