Pros: The PSP again serves up elaborate graphics and hectic action sequences without breaking a sweat. Miami Vice can't be faulted for its looks, which evoke the hazy Miami beachscapes and rundown warehouse districts very well. The side missions add some depth to a generally straightforward game.
Cons: Manages to fall into the trap of self-parody, something the film makers themselves were at pains to avoid. The game design is too derivative from superior titles that have come before. Only really comes to life during the boat chases, and some of the drug lord dialogue is terrible.
Verdict: An uninspiring cash-in on Michael Mann's patchy but beautifully shot Hollywood epic. The game suffers through a lack of voicing talent from Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx, and a general repetitiveness in the missions. Ironically, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City does Miami Vice-style action better than Miami Vice itself.
