As America's First Lady, Melania Trump has been known to cut a steely figure when in public.
She isn't afraid of speaking out against her husband's controversial government policies, and she rarely lets her guard down.
FLOTUS has also sparked widespread debate and memes after being observed ignoring Donald's attempts at showing affection for her.
Since they entered the White House as a family, Donald and Melania's relationship has been the subject of scrutiny across the world.
But on Independence Day, Melania showed a different side to herself, as she and Donald attended a White House lawn picnic with hundreds of military families.
They came down to the South Lawn looking like a loving couple, instead of two strangers.
As they walked down the stairs, Melania also let Donald hold her hand in public, before they walked across the lawn.
They later returned to the balcony toward the end of a nationally televised concert from the South Lawn and stayed for the annual fireworks show on the National Mall.
Last year, the US President and First Lady touched down in Tel Aviv on May 22, and on the walk away from their aeroplane, she was spotted reacting to her husband's hand. They walked alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara.
At one point Trump reached for Melania's hand, but her response was to knock it away with her own.
But while the President was at the White House, he was also the subject of a July 4 joke circulated on Twitter by actor Sacha Baron Cohen.
Cohen, who is a former foe of Trump posted a video where he trolls him.
The video, titled 'A Message from Donald Trump' for the July holiday, shows Trump talking about Cohen, where he referred to the actor as a "third grade character."
"This third-grade character named Sacha Baron Cohen, I only wish that he would've been punched in the face so many times. Right now, he'd be in a hospital," Trump says.
"It was disgraceful. He ought to be fired immediately."

After the trailer goes on: "He's back as you've never seen him before."
Trump is also shown slamming the comedian, who is married to Australian actor Isla Fisher.
He informs him that he should "learn about being funny."
"Sacha Baron Cohen, go to school! Learn about being funny. You don't know sh*t," Trump says.
The comedian then replies to the President's comment. Viewers see the screen which says: "Sacha graduates soon,", followed by the logo for Trump University.
While Cohen targeted Trump on hid July 4 holiday, many other Hollywood stars had a Trump-free day where they kicked back at BBQs, beach and pool parties with fireworks.
