Meghan Markle's former make-up artist has dropped a very big hint about the kind of beauty look the former Suits star is likely to opt for on her big day.

Lydia F. Sellers who worked with Meghan's for two years has revealed always had one crucial request - to make sure her freckles weren't covered up.

"Every time I'd do her makeup, she'd say, 'Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don't want a ton of foundation'," Lydia told Refinery29.

"It was more about the amount of product that went on her skin and keeping it really fresh and dewy, rather than caking it on."

Lydia revealed the product that gave Meghan the desired effect was Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, applied with a beauty blender, reports Daily Mail.

She also remarked that the star hasn't changed her look since quitting acting to take up her role as a full-time royal.

"She'll throw her hair back in a low bun and it actually looks like she's done it herself, and it's beautiful and chic because she's so confident," she said.

Indeed the former Suits star has previously revealed how she would never wear foundation on her days off from filming and had perfected the art of her "five-minute face".

She named her three make-up staples as: Touche Eclat by Yves St Laurent, of which she says "if you've just worked a 17-hour day and have nothing else on, you will still look relatively alive"; Diorshow Iconic mascara and Nars Orgasm blusher.

Meghan has previously revealed how her "pet peeve" is having her skin tone lightened and her freckles airbrushed out of photos.

Speaking to Allure magazine before she quit acting, she opened up about the difficulties she faced in the industry due to her "ethnically ambiguous" appearance.

Speaking of casting directors attitudes to her, she said: "Was I Latina? Sephardic? 'Exotic Caucasian'?" she said. "Add the freckles to the mix and it created quite the conundrum."

Meghan was born to an African-American mother and Caucasian father gave advice to young "freckle-faced friends out there" who might be struggling to embrace their identity to listen to the advice she received from her father: "A face without freckles is a night without stars."
