Since her wedding to Prince Harry his new wife has been embracing a more polished style, and it's no surprise she's been looking to the Duchess of Cambridge for inspiration - especially when it comes to hair.
Prior to her big day, Meghan was a fan of the messy bun but since becoming the Duchess of Sussex she's been emulating Kate's sleek updos and bouncy blow drys on official engagements, the Daily Mail reports.
Last night, the Duchess of Sussex attended the Queen's Young Leaders Awards at Buckingham Palace, and wore her hair in defined curls tumbling over her shoulders.
And celebrity hairdresser James Johnson says that as well as being royal appropriate, it's an ideal style for Meghan's face.
"Meghan really suits that undone, effortless style," he said. "By waving her hair, Meghan has easily elongated her face, a quick way to give the illusion of a slimmer face but still makes her hair look instantly voluminous and thicker in the right places.
"By keeping the ends more waved than curled, this style is going to last her longer, perfect for her royal duties. The straighter ends also creates more of a youthful look.
"By having a middle parting, Meghan has opened up her face, showing off her lovely features. I love the way Meghan has tucked one side behind her ear.
"This keeps the style softer, but still enhances her cheekbones as the eyes will automatically follow her facial features to her hair."
Read on to find out James' verdict on which "copy-Kate" hair looks are hits for Meghan, and those she should avoid.
LOW BUN
Sophisticated, chic, fashionable and elegant, this low bun is a classic way of keeping your hair up without being 'over the top'.
It's no wonder Meghan has re-created this simplistic look seen on Kate before, it shows off her stunning features whilst keeps the overall look young and on trend.
In my opinion, this look suited Meghan more. She kept it tame with stud earrings and the gloss on her hair is enviable!
BRUSHED OUT WAVES
Here Meghan as opted for a relaxed, side parted brushed out waves hair style. This is very soft and suited her well.
Having the hair waved too meant her overall image was softer, proudly bringing that American effortless chic to the UK.
In my opinion, out of the two, Meghan suited softer waves better than Kate's half up half down hairstyle.
Sometimes half up half down can look too relaxed and needs to be kept to either one or the other, especially when wearing a statement fascinator.
CURLS
Curls are always going to be in fashion. It's immediately considered elegant and something Kate became instantly known for... that famous Chelsea blow-dry!
Adding movement in the form of a curly blow-dry will instantly thicken up the hair and give it volume, creating the illusion you have more hair!
In my opinion, although this hairstyle is always going to be on trend, I think it should left to Kate to pull this off too, Meghan needs her own stamp.
WAVES
Waves are a simple wave of creating movement whilst keeping the overall look effortless.
As much as a Chelsea Blowdry is bang on trend, sometimes anything flicky on the ends can be ageing.
Having the ends straight and the movement more relaxed and un-done, creates a more youthful look, perfect to be dressed up or dressed down.
This for me is Meghans look. Meghan really suits waves. With this hair, she still has that look of royalty, just in a youthful red carpet way which is bang on trend.
