I love the way [Italian lingerie brand] La Perla makes me feel. It's sensually elegant. It's a little secret that makes me smile all day long.

I have a major problem with a lot of bras and have only ever found two that solve the problem. The problem: my nipples are constantly popping out of the cup! I don't know what it is. I'm talking mostly about demi-cups here, I just feel that I am too young to go to a full coverage bra at 21. As I feel that I have a right to a demi-cup, I have tried many brands out as well as going up a cup size, but to no avail. I have spent hundreds on my mission to find the right bra that will keep my nipples safely tucked away. Recently I found the answer: Elle Macpherson Double Skins 2 and Victoria's Secret's Secret Embrace bras keep everything under wraps. I am in love with them. Even better, the Victoria's Secret bra is seamless and the most comfortable bra I have ever worn.

The underwire has been a godsend to me, with a D cup. Fitted properly, it gives great support and admired cleavage. When the rumour came round they were bad for you, I was not put off. Now the research shows there is no link between underwire bras and breast cancer, I'm ecstatic!
Belinda Syme, brand manager with Berlei, based in Christchurch
I've come to realise it's really important to get your bra fitted. Now that I'm surrounded by bras, I know just how much is available and how manufacturers are constantly exploring new fabrics. As in, you can get T-shirt bras that are still feminine and good-looking. My current favourite is a new Berlei with undetectable lace. It's seamless, but has a little bit of lace that doesn't show through, so you can wear it with T-shirts or tighter tops.
