Maybe they're in Kansas - Dorothy's slippers missing

A pair of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz insured for US$1 million ($1.45 million) is missing from a Minnesota museum.

Police Chief Leigh Serfling said someone entered the museum through a window and broke into the small display case holding the slippers. "There's not a whole lot of evidence," Serfling said.

"We're hoping that someone in the community has seen something."

The Children's Discovery Museum said the slippers had been loaned by their Los Angeles owner.
