Martha Stewart to host version of NBC'S 'The Apprentice'

NEW YORK - Jailed homemaking entrepreneur Martha Stewart will return to television as the host of a new version of NBC's reality show "The Apprentice," her company's website said.

The new show will be called "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart," according to a statement on the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. website. The original "Apprentice" features real estate mogul Donald Trump and a batch of would-be tycoons vying for a job working for him.

Stewart is expected to be released from prison next month after serving a five-month sentence for lying to investigators about a personal stock sale. She also is due to serve five months in home confinement after her release.
