A desperate man secured a reservation at an in-demand restaurant - by pretending to be the Moroccan prime minister.
The unidentified diner was left disappointed after being told there was not enough room at the eatery for him and his family.
But refusing to be beaten, he called back minutes later and claimed to be the 62-year-old leader of Morocco, Saadeddine Othmani, The Daily Mail reported.
Duped into believing a VIP was coming to eat at the restaurant, believed to be in Russia, staff immediately booked him in.
Staff were so convinced that the diner was Prime Minister Othmani, that they even asked him to sign one of their plates.
