Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal has given birth to a healthy baby girl, reported People magazine.
The new arrival, named Ramona, was welcomed by Gyllenhaal and her fiance Peter Sarsgaard on Tuesday afternoon (US time).
The couple, who have been dating for more than four years, announced their pregnancy and engagement inApril this year.
Screen credits for Gyllenhaal include roles in World Trade Centre, Mona Lisa Smile, Secretary and Donnie Darko, co-starring her brother, Jake Gyllenhaal.
Sarsgaard, 35, starred alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in last year's Gulf war drama Jarhead.
