Madonna to aid Malawai

Madonna is to open a day care centre for orphans in Africa.

She has pledged US$3 million ($4.9 million) to improve the lives of children in Malawi. The centre, which will feed and educate up to 1000 children a day, will also offer lessons in Kabbalah, the Jewish sect of which Madonna is a devotee.
