People often use social media to portray the best possible image of themselves but for these people, an attempt to garner some attention online fell short.

As these awkward social media posts prove, some people bluffed on the web - but were caught in the act, according to the Daily Mail.

From trying to claim professional photos as their own, to taking Photoshop a little too far, these hilarious social media posts exposing liars will leave you cringing.
