Soon-to-be-ex 95bFM breakfast host Wallace Chapman has joined Kiwi FM.
Chapman's new show, Weekends with Walesi (he is part-Fijian), will be broadcast on the all-New Zealand music station on Sundays 10am-1pm, from September 10.
Chapman hosted bFM breakfast for nine months but quit after hearing of plans to replace him with former host Mikey Havoc.
Outraged fans started bringbackwallace.com, urging the station to reinstate him. Chapman wrote on it about his new job: "Same type of show I do now. Very excited, and impressed by how Kiwi is sounding in its new incarnation."
Chapman will also do segments on TV2's Eating Media Lunch, and TV One's Breakfast and there's an upcoming project with Alt TV.
His last breakfast show on bFM, which he has nicknamed Soul Funk Friday, is tomorrow.
