Lacey shurgged. Another good reason not to go and look at the baby donkey. Jonny would wheeze and the two of them would cry all the way home. What did you call a baby donkey, anyway?
Mum picked up the car keys. "Coming Lacey?"
Lacey shook her head. "No thanks. I want to work on my dance."
Her mother looked as if she was going to say something then she changed her mind and bustled the boys into the car. Lacey listened for the garage door to crash back down, then she phoned Vanessa. "What do you call a baby donkey?" she asked.
"Um...Bill?" Vanessa suggested.
"No, idiot! Like is it a calf or a donklet or what?"
"Dunno," said Vanessa. "Ask Kate. She's the horsey one. Why?"
