Lucinda Williams cancels NZ and Aussie tour

Country singer Lucinda Williams has cancelled her Australia and New Zealand tour following the death of her mother. Williams, whose albums have consistently been considered among the best of the year's releases, has also cancelled some American dates. Ticket refunds from point of purchase.

And on her way is Sarah McLachlan, a three-time Grammy winner whose folk-pop style is married to a slightly ethereal quality. She plays Christchurch Friday, June 4, Wellington's Town Hall the following night and the Aotea Centre in Auckland on Monday, June 7. Tickets on sale from Ticketek on Tuesday.
