It's a fun one this week. I'd like you to look back over your answers to the previous weeks and get an idea of the general themes that are coming through. Things you loved to do as a child, things you see yourself having when you are older, stuff you daydream about, some of your favourite memories and people, things you have leaned, stuff you want to create, see, do. Use this as your inspiration and then take a bit of time to create a vision board.
Grab a pile of old magazines and photos and some glue and big sheet of card or an art book and start gluing them on. Set yourself a budget and buy a few new magazines that you wouldn't normally buy, just see what attracts you when you are in the dairy. Whatever images speak to you is great. There may just be a patterned piece wallpaper that you just adore. Cool. Include it. Or it might be a literal picture of a woman riding a horse or with a partner and child or whatever.
It's all good. There are no rules. Let your subconscious guide the way and try not to edit yourself too much. You may see particular themes start to come through as you start putting this together, that's all good too. You may also see you have unwittingly cut out five pictures of boats or boots or whatever. Fine. No editing, no judgment. Let your creativity run free.
I love seeing vision boards. It's a really fun "play" kind of exercise that is good for adults who can be so busy they have minimal time for "play" in life. The people who right now are reading this saying "this is stupid" are exactly the people who need this sort of exercise the most! This technique pulls us into a more right-brained, intuitive place than our more literal left brain. It always brings up a few unexpected images that end up being deeply significant down the road. So be open to what the effects might be for you. You can be as prescriptive or as abstract as you like. Words are good too. Many people cut our words that are particularly inspirational or directional for them and add them on. Use your imagination.
You would have had to have been living under a rock for the last decade not to have heard about the Law Of Attraction. This exercise taps in in a subtle way to that energy.
