The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers has won three Bafta awards including the Orange Film of the Year.
The Two Towers won best costume design, best special effects and the Orange Film of the Year prize voted for by movie-goers.
It was nominated for nine awards. Last year's Lord of the Rings opening chapter, The Fellowship of the Rings, won five Baftas.
This year Peter Jackson missed out on the director's award. The film was also nominated in best production design, best cinematography, sound, editing and make-up and hair.
Roman Polanski's The Pianist received best picture.
The top acting awards went to Nicole Kidman, for The Hours, and Daniel Day-Lewis, with Day-Lewis winning the only prize for Martin Scorsese's Gangs of New York despite the films 12 nominations.
Polanski won best director at the Orange British Academy Film Awards.
Best supporting actress went to Catherine Zeta-Jones for the musical Chicago and best supporting actor award went to Christopher Walken for the Steven Spielberg film Catch Me if You Can.

Performance by an actor in a leading role: Daniel Day-Lewis - Gangs of New York.
Performance by an actress in a supporting role: Catherine Zeta Jones - Chicago.

The David Lean Award for achievement in direction: The Pianist - Roman Polanski.
Screenplay (original): Talk to Her (Hable con Ella) - Pedro Almodovar.
Screenplay (adapted): Adaptation - Charlie Kaufman/Donald Kaufman.
The Anthony Asquith Award for achievement in film music: The Hours - Philip Glass.
The Alexander Korda Award for the outstanding British film of the year: The Warrior.
The Carl Foreman Award for special achievement by a British director, screenwriter or producer in their first feature film:
Asif Kapadia (director/co-writer) - The Warrior.
Film not in the English language: Talk to Her (Hable con Ella).
Cinematography: Road to Perdition - Conrad L Hall.
Production design: Road to Perdition.
Costume design: The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
