Local designers Doris de Pont and Laurinda Sutcliffe are celebrating after appearing in one of the world's top fashion bibles, the Italian magazine Collezioni. It featured two photographs of de Pont's Winter 05 Dance collection, which was launched at New Zealand Fashion Week last October. The images, of female and male dancers wearing the label, are in the autumn-winter issue of Collezioni under the heading Winter in Maori Land.
Sutcliffe, from High Society, also features. The magazine says: "Currently, the most influential name in New Zealand fashion is that of High Society, renowned for its Catalyst, Obi, Chocolat and Mosaic labels: the collections of its chief designer, Laurinda, of Australian origin, show that the creator possesses exquisite personal taste and an attentive eye to what people want to wear."
