Listeners say 95bFM plan wreaks havoc

Some 95bFM listeners incensed at the thought of losing breakfast host Wallace Chapman have started a website called bringbackWallace

They want listeners to sign a petition to reinstate Chapman. It follows a Herald report that former breakfast host Mikey Havoc will take over on September 4. Chapman said he quit after hearing about Havoc. bFM says the move is part of a plan to reinvigorate the station.

At time of print, 736 people had signed the petition. (Last year 17,000 people tuned in to the breakfast show).

Comments posted on the site say bringing Havoc back is a retrograde move, and many listeners say Chapman is the best host the station has hired. Aside from a few bogus signatures - Burt Bacharach, for instance - the petition has been signed by some well-known industry names.
