Linda Evangelista gives birth to baby boy

Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista has given birth to her first child, a baby boy named Augustin James Evangelista, reports People magazine.

The 41-year-old style icon announced her new son's arrival via a representative in New York City.

Earlier this year, Evangelista told reporters she would not be making a comeback after the birth because she would not be going anywhere.

"I decided when I was 12 that (modeling) is what I wanted to do," she said.

"I know how to be a good model. And I didn't have a Plan B in place," reported Associated Press in July this year.

Evangelista is currently single and has refused named her baby's father, sparking rumours that the child may be a test tube baby.
