Four weeks after our slimmers first met a nutritionist, we check up on them to see how they're tracking

Kim Savage, 22
It's always at this time of year I catch a vague waft of summer in the air. Maybe I'm being a little premature, but once we're past the middle of July and my birthday, I can't help but think we're over the worst of winter. It's this thought that keeps me running in the pouring rain and saying no to that glass of comforting red wine. All in the name of a bikini-ready body come November.
Speaking of birthdays, mine was a total blowout. My dinner could have fed a family of four. But the heavy, lethargic, ill feeling I had afterwards was evidence for me that my body has changed. And despite the blowout, the change has been dramatic. I've dropped several kilos in two weeks, just by doing my best to adhere to a dairy-free diet and exercising regularly. Both Kerre and Tania noticed my weight loss. My clothes fit better, I have more energy, and best of all I no longer crave chocolate every second of every day.
Tania McKenzie, 35
My diet tip for this week is to not ask for a dairy-free inflight meal when you're travelling. I was ravenous and deeply distressed when I was presented with a few bits of dry meat and some bedraggled veges inflight. I caved and ate a croissant. It was divine.
We made a stop at Dubai on the way - no chance to stretch the running legs there - as the temperature crept near 50C during the day. By contrast, Britain in midsummer is gorgeous and green. The shops are full of summer fruit - peaches, nectarines, strawberries and raspberries - which are heaven when the diet forbids most desserts. I've even managed a couple of runs. The first was murder after a long flight - but I'm perservering, despite the pollution. It's just over three months until the half marathon and I'm still only running an hour at a time. Time is no longer on my side, and I can't afford to miss a beat.
Kerre Woodham, 43
Not such a good week this week. In fact, on two occasions, I've had to resort to a steak and cheese pie and a can of Coke to restore me to any sort of equilibrium. But then, what's a girl to do?
Belinda Todd, my old mate from TV3 days, was back from L.A and we had to catch up for lunch. We always did lunch spectacularly well and it was gratifying to see that time had not diminished our capacity.
Then it was off to the Gypsy Tea Rooms for a few drinks. Off to Tauranga for a breakfast promotion on Saturday morning, and that was when I had to resort to the first pie. The second came during the Paper Plus conference in Wellington. The wonderful Indian boys and girls initiated me into the elixer that is Kingfisher beer and I danced Bollywood style for hours and hours and hours. I did manage two runs though - one of them an hour-and-a-half into a Wellington headwind. Does that mitigate my dietary failings?
