Lea Michele has been announced as the new face of L'Oreal cosmetics.

The Glee actress has landed the huge beauty contract to follow in the footsteps of stars including Eva Longoria, Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Lopez.

The 26-year-old star will officially be unveiled as the latest front woman for the French cosmetics giant later this month.

Michele spoke about her image and her thoughts on beauty in a recent interview with Allure magazine.

She explained how she has always stayed true to the looks she was born with rather than bow to pressure from the industry to look perfect.

"When I was 15 a manager said, 'you have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you'," she said.

"My mother would say to me, 'Barbra Streisand never got a nose job. You're not getting a nose job'."
