Lara Stone was discovered by an agent at the age of 12 on a trip to Paris.

The Dutch model has signed a deal with the beauty giant to front new campaigns and will deliver their famous line, "Because you're worth it". Stone will be promoting make-up, hair care and colour for the brand and is in shock to have landed such a big contract.

"I think that's a pretty incredible message to convey," Stone said of L'Oreal Paris' iconic slogan. "It wasn't really anything I ever expected to happen in my career"

Lara Stone is known for her gap-tooth pout.

The 29-year-old joins the ranks of stars such as Beyonce Knowles, Claudia Schiffer, Doutzen Kroes, Julianne Moore, Laetitia Casta and Jane Fonda in representing the company.

Stone never dreamed of working alongside such famous faces.

"I never could really see myself in their line up," she said.

Stone is currently ranked as the tenth best paid model in the world and has served as the face of brands including Givenchy, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and Belstaff.

Famed for her gap-toothed smile and enviable curves, Calvin Klein previously revealed his fascination with her "X-rated lips".

Stone made her catwalk debut for Riccardo Tisci in a Givenchy couture show in Paris and has opened shows for labels including Stella McCartney, Chanel, Balmain, Fendi, Isabel Marant and Fendi.
