Kylie tickets snapped up in record time

Fans were so desperate to snap up Kylie Minogue tickets that the telephone exchange handling her London show crashed due to the volume of calls. Extra dates for the Kylie - Showgirl tour were immediately added to cope with demand.

But interest was so great that a second date in Manchester sold out without even being announced.

The website handling ticket requests for Birmingham repeatedly crashed while queues in Glasgow set record levels.
