Knitwear alert. Australian knit label Jac + Jack has arrived at Workshop. We like. Jac Hunt and Lisa Jack Dempsey had been working together at Marcs and Jigsaw. When they went on overseas buying trips they would fight over the same gear, so they started their own label to make what they loved. No more fighting. It’s good news for us too because we get luxury jersey and cashmere and merino knitwear. Aside from basic shapes and colours, they do a line in cropped double-breasted cashmere jackets, long racer-back cashmere singlets, oversize deep-V sweaters with blouson sleeves and T-shirts in washed wool with raw edges. they’re also keen on colour, using emerald greens and capri blues through to pale icing-sugar pink and shitake nude. The two say it’s all about luxurious everyday wear.
